Mr. Handley retired from public activism in 2018 and returned to his business career and is no longer available for media interviews and no longer serves on any nonprofit boards. He feels his book and movie represent the totality of his thinking on the topic of autism and hopes that scientists, doctors, and attorneys will come together and solve this complex problem. Mr. Handley has no social media presence and anyone using his name is doing so without his consent or endorsement. He offers a final thought:

“This debate has become too polarized. We have to find middle ground. I support a responsible vaccination program for life-threatening preventable illnesses and I support testing for vulnerable children to remove them from the same program due to high risk of harm. The two can co-exist. I hope responsible parties can meet in the middle.”
